[PLAYBACK: REVISIT [III] - DOROTHY GALE]

[The feed flickers on.]

[DOROTHY sits in the chair, notably without her weapon. BRONTË sits on the other side of the glass, sweating a little bit. The girl from Kansas looks up at the doctor expectedly, who’s trying to keep a serious pose, but visibly is still stressed. ]

[DOROTHY]: I didn’t even bring Galebringer, why are you still so scared of me?

[ BRONTË frowns, realizing she is scared- scared of this… teenager. ]

[DOROTHY]: I know I was- pretty angry before. But I’ve been having some time to think. People can change. I’m not happy, really, but I won’t try and attack you anymore.

[BRONTË]: …Well, I’m glad to hear that, Dorothy. I think I’ll still remain back here, but… I am glad you’ve made progress. Was it… you going on this vacation that spurred it?

[ DOROTHY squints at the word ‘progress’, as if her reactions weren’t entirely justified, but it’s not something worth arguing about. ]

[DOROTHY]: Even just letting me go somewhere that isn’t this metal box is bound to improve mood. But yes, it did.

[BRONTË]: Would you be able to explain… why?

[ The doctor started to write. It was nice to actually have someone willing to answer questions every so often. And as she spoke with her further, she was reminded of her arrival here, how even as she wasn’t planned to be- she felt like she needed to keep her around. Who knows how Arowe would have been doing by now. ]

[DOROTHY]: Well… when I first arrived it was a little rough, I guess. I’m sure whoever thought of putting me in a place with another witch thought they were being very funny.

[ BRONTË sighs. ]

[BRONTË]: Let it be known that it wasn’t me, at least. I had nothing to do with these.

[DOROTHY]: Yeah, I’m sure.

[DOROTHY]: But… she wasn’t that bad. Or bad at all, really. She truly was a good witch- frankly even better than Glinda was.

[BRONTË]: …Right, you did end up seeing another Witch when you were in Oz, didn’t you? Outside of the...

[DOROTHY]: Well, seeing is about right. We hardly spoke. I guess she floated down in some sort of bubble? After my house fell. For a second I was worried, but she seemed ecstatic- to a concerning level.

[DOROTHY]: But then as soon as she saw me as the one who did it, she didn’t recognize me- her face seemed to… almost be disappointed. She obviously wanted that witch dead, but the fact that it was me was a surprise to her. Something she didn’t like. And, whenever the green one appeared, well. That gave her an excuse to leave.

[BRONTË]: So… even she wasn’t really very good, huh?

[DOROTHY]: I don’t think the mere fact she didn’t try and kill me makes her ‘good’, no.

[BRONTË]: Right. Well, back to your break… what else caught your eye?

[DOROTHY]: The location was weird- I could tell it wasn’t… exactly real, but it still felt better than the fake things you have.

[ Ouch. BRONTË felt hurt by that. ]

[DOROTHY]: But the witch and I had a good time- we even were able to defeat this… magic water skeleton man who wanted to… merchandise me? Put my face on like, lunchboxes I think?

[BRONTË]: Wait, defeat- were you in danger?

[DOROTHY]: Well, there was supposedly some leader there that would have killed me if they spotted me, but I didn’t have to worry about that. But the water skeleton- yeah, he was irritating. I couldn’t actually hit him, just the little sprayer he had…

[DOROTHY]: But, in the end, we both managed to take him down. I’m glad she was there. Dunno if I’d have been able to do it without her.

[BRONTË]: Well, I’m glad you were able to bond a little bit, and you had a decent time. Sorry about… a real threat apparently being around.

[ Another squint. ]

[DOROTHY]: Well, whenever it’s not someone all powerful who seems to literally have control over my mind, it’s almost a little fun to fight them, even with the danger. But I guess I’d rather have little fakes here than put our lives in the hands of people who don't think about that.

[ She stands, walking out. Not fully angry, just… irritated about her apologizing for that. BRONTË feels bad... but is glad that she's seemed to be the most improved. Now, hopefully, the last revisit runs smoothly. ]
