[ DOROTHY stands in front of the door to the backroom. Then, a SLAM is heard. Another SLAM. She’s charging up her blade, and slamming it into the door, actually causing some slight damage to the metal. She’s about to strike it a third time, when the door finally opens. ]

[ABACAXI]: …what’s going on out here? Oh. heya doroth-

[ DOROTHY holds her blade up to his throat- or, lack thereof. ]

[DOROTHY]: Where’s the doctor? Tell me.

[ He slightly pushes down the blade, but she reinforces it. ]

[DOROTHY]: Tell. Me.

[ABACAXI]: woow. i think elise took the loss better than you…

[DOROTHY]: This isn’t ABOUT LOSING.

[ The blade slowly starts to spin on its own. ]

[ABACAXI]: okay, fine. you’ve twisted my hand.

[ He then twists his own hand, causing the two of them to find themselves teleported into the room they first started in. BRONTË arrives into the room soon thereafter, looking slightly concerned. ]

[DOROTHY]: You. YOU.

[BRONTË]: Hello, Dorothy. What was so urgent that you almost destroyed equipment fo-

[ She spins the blade of her sword and slams it into the glass divider. ]

[DOROTHY]: Are you WORKING WITH HER? Is this still some sort of trick of hers? TELL ME.

[BRONTË]: I’m… sorry, but I don’t understand.

[DOROTHY]: Oh, you don’t understand huh? Of course you don’t.

[DOROTHY]: The WITCH.

[ She slashes at the divider again. ]

[DOROTHY]: You said I would be safe here. And yet, she shows up and makes a big deal about it, throws me around a burning city, and then you just GO ON as if NOTHING HAPPENED?

[BRONTË]: Dorothy, I… I know you’re angry, but-

[DOROTHY]: But what? What sort of excuse are you going to come up with? What excuse do you have for lying to me and saying that I was safe? Huh? HUH?

[ DOROTHY slams at the glass once again, causing BRONTË to stand and raise her voice. ]

[BRONTË]: It was NOT a LIE, DOROTHY.

[ The doctor calms down. ]

[BRONTË]: You are safe here. Notice how you’re completely undamaged. She didn’t lay a scratch on you.

[DOROTHY]: The fact that she did not harm me doesn’t change that she shouldn’t have been here in the first place.

[DOROTHY]: You need to tell me why she was here. Otherwise, I feel like I can do a lot of damage without anyone getting physically harmed.

[ The blade begins to spin again. ]

[BRONTË]: …

[ She hesitates. ]

[DOROTHY]: Of course. You’re just going to clam up again. You can’t lie if you never tell us anything.

[ The doctor sighs. ]

[BRONTË]: The Witch couldn’t hurt you because she’s not real, okay? None of the visitors are.

[BRONTË]: They’re simulated bodies using snapshots of their consciousness, limited clones created and destroyed within the very frame you see them. As soon as they leave, they leave for good. They can never truly harm you.

[BRONTË]: The reason why we bring them I cannot say, and I don’t want you to tell anyone else about this information.

[BRONTË]: But frankly, we may have needed to reconsider this one. I want to apologize.

[ DOROTHY just stares at the doctor from the other side of the glass.]

[DOROTHY]: Of course. And I’m sure if I wasn’t inches from breaking through this glass, you would have just let me go, knowing I just relived horrific memories.

[ She stands, giving one last piercing glare, before leaving. BRONTË simply just stays in the room, thinking in silence. ]
