[PLAYBACK: I v II - CHANCE vs COMPUTER BUG - RESULTS]

[As the trio anxiously wait, looking around themselves, a light crackle is heard in the distance.]

[DEILE]: Alright. Be on the lookout..

[A shadow passes in front of the TV’s screen… and then another. VINIUM is zipping around and around the trio, attempting to disorient the trio and get an opening. After they continue to stand their ground, he just gives up any sense of strategy out of frustration.]

[He reels back, and dives down into the ground… until his claw reaches out, and grabs CALI’s leg.]

[But, she was ready for him. She kicks her leg up, pulling him out into the light of the TV, just in time for CHANCE to land a solid punch straight in his face. He’s thrown back, his bottom half ending up in the TV.]

[VINIUM]: Wh- C’mon, Chance… we were buddies! We hung out for at least an hour or two an indeterminate amount of time ago! We made plans!!

[CHANCE]: Vinium, I just don’t think this is working out.

[He lands a final punch, knocking him fully back into the TV. CALI runs over and shuts the TV off, while DEILE reels back and shatters the screen with his boot.]

[The TV slowly fizzles out, no sound of demons returning. The three of them take the quiet moment to catch their breath.]

[CALI]: Thank you for- uh. Helping deal with that.

[CHANCE]: Hey, it’s no big. Hopefully he’s gone for good… dunno how he even managed to show up here, let alone find me…

[He thinks about it for a moment. But, as he does, the Simulation room shuts off, turning back into the large blank glowing white room. A small, 5 note jingle is heard, before a familiar voice chimes in through an overhead speaker.]

[BRONTË]: Chance is your victor. Congratulations.

[There’s a pause, then the two cultists look above them in unison.]

[DEILE]: WHAT?!

[CALI]: That COUNTED??

[BRONTË]: …yes.

[CHANCE just stretches his arms, looking at the duo smugly.]

[CHANCE]: Well, then. I wasn’t really expecting that, but… hey. At least you all got a team building exercise out of it.

[He starts to roll out of the simulation room.]

[CHANCE]: You played the game, you won this room at least. Have fun.

[Unfortunately, both of the cultists have lost any sort of drive for what they were going to do. In fact, now all they can do is think about how stupid they were for choosing salesmanship out of anything to challenge CHANCE in.]

[DEILE]: Ugh. We really should have played tic-tac-toe instead…

[CALI]: Or, like, literally anything else…

[DEILE]: Yeah, so. Next time? Let’s not worry about bettering ourselves, and let’s just try and win, okay?

[CALI]: Deile, you act like I knew that that was somehow going to count! I didn’t! Neither did Chance!

[DEILE]: Doesn’t change the fact that we should have done something easier. Or you could have at least let me use the recorder.

[CALI]: What, so you could brainwash the empty seats?

[DEILE groans, throws his hands up and storms out of the room, leaving CALI alone in the simulation room. She just sighs, and lies down in the glowing white void.]
